Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional for spice)

Olive oil, for brushing

Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, unroll the refrigerated pizza dough. If necessary, use a rolling pin to stretch the dough into a rectangular shape that is approximately 12 inches long and 8 inches wide.

Add Toppings: Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the surface of the dough, leaving a small 1-inch border around the edges. Next, layer the sliced pepperoni evenly over the cheese to ensure each bite is flavorful.

Combine Seasonings: In a small bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and optional crushed red pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning blend generously over the pepperoni and cheese layers.

Roll the Dough: Starting from one end of the rectangular dough, carefully roll it up tightly into a log shape. Make sure to pinch the edges of the dough as you go to help seal in the fillings. Once rolled, tuck the ends underneath the log to prevent filling from escaping.

Slice the Rolls: Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces. You should end up with approximately 10-12 individual pizza rolls. Place the sliced rolls on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.

Brush with Olive Oil: To achieve a golden, crispy texture, brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil. This will also help enhance their flavor as they bake.

Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed up and golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent over-baking.

Serve: Once baked, remove the pizza rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping—perfect for a delicious snack or appraiser!
