Ingredients

2 cans (16.5 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional icing from the cinnamon rolls, for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a bundt pan by greasing it generously with cooking spray or softened butter to ensure easy removal of the monkey bread after baking.

Prepare the Cinnamon Roll Pieces: Open each can of cinnamon rolls and carefully separate the rolls. Use a sharp knife or kitchen scissors to cut each roll into quarters for bite-sized pieces.

Mix Sugar and Cinnamon: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, stirring well until the mixture is uniform.

Coat the Dough: Take the quartered pieces of cinnamon roll dough and toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until each piece is well-coated and sweetened.

Layer in the Bundt Pan: Start layering your monkey bread by placing half of the coated cinnamon roll pieces into the bottom of the prepared bundt pan. If you are using nuts, sprinkle half of the chopped pecans or walnuts on top of this first layer.

Add the Butter and Brown Sugar: In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter and packed brown sugar until smooth. Drizzle half of this rich mixture over the dough layer in the bundt pan, allowing it to soak into the crevices.

Repeat Layers: Add the remaining coated dough pieces on top of the first layer in the bundt pan. Sprinkle the rest of the chopped nuts (if using) over this layer, and then drizzle the remaining butter and brown sugar mixture on top.

Bake the Monkey Bread: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool Slightly: Once baked, remove the bundt pan from the oven. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes to allow it to set.

Invert and Drizzle: Carefully invert the bundt pan onto a serving platter. Gently tap and shake to release the monkey bread. Drizzle the icing from the cinnamon roll cans over the warm monkey bread for an extra touch of sweetness and flavor.

Serve and Enjoy: Pull apart the warm pieces of monkey bread and serve immediately! This delicious treat is perfect for breakfast or brunch gatherings, where everyone can indulge in the messy, gooey goodness!
