Prepare the Broccoli: In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of salted water to a rolling boil. Carefully add the broccoli florets and blanch them for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn a vibrant bright green. Using a slotted spoon, remove the broccoli and immediately transfer it to an ice bath to halt the cooking process. Once cooled, drain and set aside.
