Ingredients

For the Tuna Skewers:

1 lb fresh sushi-grade tuna, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon ground ginger

Salt and pepper, to taste

Skewers (metal or soaked wooden skewers)

For the Blueberry Salsa:

1 cup fresh blueberries, rinsed and drained

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon lime juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Tuna: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, fresh lime juice, honey, ground ginger, along with salt and pepper. Carefully add the cubed tuna and gently toss until each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

Prepare the Blueberry Salsa: In a separate mixing bowl, combine the rinsed blueberries, finely chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, and chopped cilantro. Drizzle lime juice over the mixture and season with salt and pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together, taking care not to crush the blueberries. Set the salsa aside, allowing the flavors to meld while you prepare the skewers.

Assemble the Skewers: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Carefully thread the marinated tuna cubes onto the skewers, ensuring to leave a small space between each piece for even cooking.

Grill the Skewers: Place the assembled tuna skewers on the preheated grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tuna is lightly charred on the outside but remains pink in the center (total grill time should be around 4-6 minutes). Adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for about 2 minutes. Serve the tuna skewers hot, either with the blueberry salsa on the side for dipping or drizzled directly over the skewers for a burst of flavor.

Garnish (optional): To elevate the dish, garnish with lime wedges and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro for added color and freshness.

              Prep Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 4

Presentation Tips: Arrange the skewers on a rustic wooden board for a casual presentation, and serve the blueberry salsa in a small bowl alongside for dipping. Don't forget to add the lime wedges for an attractive pop of color!
