Ingredients

1 pound (about 500g) chicken tenders

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Fresh chives, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken Tenders: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken tenders to the bowl, ensuring they are thoroughly coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours to enhance the flavor.

Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, and apple cider vinegar until the mixture is smooth and well-combined. Taste the sauce and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired. Set the sauce aside for later use.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or grill pan to a medium-high heat. To prevent the chicken from sticking, lightly brush the grill grates with oil.

Grill the Chicken Tenders: Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade and discard any leftover marinade. Place the chicken tenders on the hot grill, cooking each side for approximately 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.

Serve: Once cooked, transfer the grilled chicken tenders to a serving platter. Drizzle the homemade honey mustard sauce generously over the chicken tenders and garnish with finely chopped chives to add a fresh flavor boost.

Enjoy: Serve the chicken tenders warm, accompanied by extra honey mustard on the side for dipping!
